Privacy Policy for DayCount Last updated: January 2026 This Privacy Policy describes how DayCount ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have complete control over your data.

  1. Information Collection and Use We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) to external servers. Local Data Storage All data you input into DayCount (including event titles, dates, notes, and color settings) is stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences. This data is accessible only by the app and remains on your device. No Internet Connection Required DayCount functions entirely offline. It does not require an internet connection to work, and it does not communicate with any remote servers, cloud storage, or third-party APIs.
  2. App Permissions DayCount is designed to require zero sensitive permissions to function. Clipboard Access: The app accesses your clipboard only when you explicitly use the "Backup/Export" or "Restore/Import" features in the Settings menu. This is used solely to copy your data string for backup purposes or paste it for restoration. Storage: We do not request access to your file system (photos, media, or files).
  3. Third-Party Services and Ads No Ads: DayCount does not display any advertisements. No Analytics: We do not use any third-party analytics software (like Google Analytics or Firebase) to track your usage or behavior. No SDKs: The app does not include any third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs) that could collect user data.
  4. Data Retention and Deletion Since your data is stored locally: Retention: Your data is retained on your device as long as the application is installed. Deletion: You can delete specific events within the app. Uninstalling the application will permanently remove all data associated with it from your device, unless you have manually backed it up elsewhere.
  5. Children’s Privacy DayCount does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. Since the app is offline and collects no data, it is safe for users of all ages.
